The Royal Aces Basketball Club have continued their preparations towards the new season with the acquisition of talented shooting guard Okeke Chidinma Loveth on a one-year contract, as confirmed by the team’s Head of Media.
Okeke Loveth, an accomplished scorer with experience in top-tier West African basketball, previously played for Dolphins Basketball Club in the Zenith Women’s Basketball League before joining Aspac BBC in Benin Republic. Her ability to create scoring opportunities and contribute on both offense and defense made her a standout performer in her previous roles.
Okeke Loveth’s impressive performance at the Louis Edem Foundation West African Basketball Invitational Championship in February sealed her move to the Royal Aces. Representing the Aces in the tournament, Loveth showcased her shooting range, defensive prowess, and leadership skills, catching the attention of Head Coach Olusegun Ojo.

“We saw her impact firsthand during the invitational championship, and there was no doubt that she would be a great fit for our team,” Coach Ojo said. “Her experience and skill set will be valuable as we push for greater success this season.”
The signing of Okeke Loveth is part of the Royal Aces’ ongoing efforts to bolster their squad as they prepare for upcoming challenges. With Loveth on board, the team aims to make a deep run in the Zenith Nigeria Women’s Basketball League and solidify its position among the country’s top teams.
The recent acquisition by Royal Aces follows the resigning of Udueyin Ruth and Onajomo Ogheneochuko, two talented players, who also joined the team on a one-year-contract. Meanwhile, the management are still in talks to sign Oyindamola Abdulazeez, another signing aimed at improving the team.
