Despite rumours suggesting Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen’s imminent departure from Napoli, his transfer situation might not be resolved until the summer.

Renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Thursday, have updates on the Nigeria international.

According to him, any deal involving Osimhen leaving Napoli is likely to happen later in the summer.

“I think this is a situation we have to follow in July/August, rather than this week, even if there have been some rumours about his asking price changing,” he said.

The Italian journalist stated the complexity of negotiations with the Serie A club despite the fact that Osimhen is expected to leave the club this transfer window.

“Napoli are never an ‘easy club’ when it’s time to negotiate but for sure the expectation of all parties remains the same: Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli this summer,” he added.

“Let’s see what happens later in the summer as I expect he still has good chances to leave the club.”

Bold Sports had earlier reported that new Napoli coach Antonio Conte is keen on selling Osimhen and also wants to bring Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku to the club.

The club is also willing to listen to offers lower than his £113m release clause.
