Nigeria has emerged as champions of the 2024 Girl’s U-19 African Nations Beachvolley Championship after defeating hosts Morocco in the final of the tournament on Thursday.
The duo of Esther Mbah and Pamela Bawa defeated Morocco 2-0 (21-8, 21-8) in the women’s Final on Thursday to claim gold. They have automatically qualified for the Beach Volleyball Beach U-19 World Championship billed for August 27 to September 1st in Shangluo, China.
To reach the final, the girls had outclassed Gambia winning 2-0 (21-3, 21-9) on Tuesday.
In the men’s category of the tournament, the duo of Victor Eze and Ndifrike George settled for a bronze medal after defeating Congo 2-0 (21-11, 21-13) in the men’s third-place match on Thursday.
