“Karl-Anthony Towns and Gabe Vincent were elected as the newest Vice Presidents on the NBPA Executive Committee, while Jaylen Brown was re-elected for a third term as Vice President.”

The NBPA is the union for current professional basketball players in the NBA. Established in 1954, the NBPA’s mission is to protect and advance the rights of our players. They are the game.

The NBPA advocates on behalf of the best interests of all NBA players, including through the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, the filing of grievances on behalf of the players, counseling players on benefits, and educating them on post-NBA career opportunities.

Reacting to his election, Vincent says he is delighted to be a part of the committee and help shape the future of players in the league.

“With the new media rights deal set to kick in, and the potential for players to make more than they ever have before, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to help shape the future of our game.”

After going undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, Vincent signed a two-way contract with the Miami Heat in 2020 and signed a standard contract with the franchise in 2021. Vincent joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2023 on a three-year $33 million deal.
