Nigerian attacker, Gift Orban has completed his move to Bundesliga side, Hoffenheim from Ligue 1 outfit, Olympique Lyon having successfully passed his medical on Thursday.

The news was broken by transfer expert and journalist, Fabrizio Romano who earlier reported that a deal had been agreed between both clubs. Hoffenheim also confirmed the new signing on their official website.

”Official, confirmed. Gift Orban leaves OL and joins Hoffenheim on €9m fee plus €3m add-ons. Contract valid until June 2029,” Fabrizio Romano revealed on his official twitter page.

“In Gift Orban, we have found exactly the fast striker with good depth that we were looking for,” says Andreas Schicker, Managing Director of Sports at TSG Hoffenheim. “Gift has repeatedly demonstrated his goal danger and his joy of playing on his previous stations, so we are convinced that he gives our team greater variability in the offence with his skills,” he added.

Gift Orban will now resume training with his new teammates as he seeks to adapt to the Bundesliga as soon as possible.

The 22-year-old’s debut game could come against Wolfsburg on Saturday, 11 January as he would be hoping to start his new journey on a high note.
