Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis is eager to depart the club and has already engaged in discussions with Toulouse, while Werder Bremen has also expressed interest in acquiring his services.
According to football journalist Nizaar Kinsella, the major obstacle in securing a deal for Dennis is the financial aspect. The Nigerian striker was purchased for £20m in 2022 and currently earns £60,000 per week, making it challenging for the club to offload him.
As such, in order for a deal to be completed, a compromise will be necessary. This could involve Nottingham Forest lowering their valuation of Emmanuel Dennis, sanctioning a loan move, or Dennis himself agreeing to a wage reduction to facilitate a transfer to one of the interested clubs.
Emmanuel Dennis has yet to feature in a game for Nottingham Forest this season, as other strikers, including Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi, have been preferred in the squad. Nevertheless, Dennis’s exceptional talent is undeniable, and several clubs are now seeking to capitalize on his situation at Nottingham Forest.

Toulouse, in particular, is struggling to find the back of the net, having scored only 21 goals in 20 Ligue 1 matches. As a result, the team is currently sitting 10th in the table with 26 points. In contrast, Werder Bremen is poised to contend for a European spot, occupying eighth place in the Bundesliga, just one point behind sixth-placed Mainz.
It appears that Emmanuel Dennis has no future at Nottingham Forest under manager Nuno Espirito Santo. If he chooses to remain at the club beyond the January transfer window, it’s likely that he will not make any further appearances for the Reds this season.
Emmanuel Dennis will continue to push for a transfer to either Toulouse, Werder Bremen, or any other interested club, in an effort to revive his career in a new environment where he can secure consistent playing time.
