Highly-rated Nigerian midfielder Daniel Daga, netted his first goal for Molde to secure a 1-0 friendly victory over Hammarby at the Banús Football Stadium on Thursday.

The friendly game marked Daga’s third appearance for Molde since joining from Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) outfit Enyimba after he made his debut in a 6-0 thrashing of Træff before featuring as a substitute in another friendly game against St. Patrick’s.

Daniel Daga was once again named as a substitute for Molde’s friendly match against Hammarby, as the team finalized their preparations ahead of their crucial Europa Conference League playoff tie against Shamrock Rovers.

Molde dominated possession against Hammarby but struggled to capitalize on their opportunities, with the match seemingly destined for a stalemate until Daniel Daga came on to score in the 84th-minute, courtesy of a brilliant finish from a set piece, handing the Norwegian side a late winner.

Daniel Daga’s winning goal secured Molde’s second friendly victory in four outings, and the team will now turn their focus to the Europa Conference League, where they aim to overcome Shamrock Rovers in a two-legged tie to advance to the Round of 16.

Meanwhile, Daniel Daga will remain focused on settling into life at Molde, striving to secure regular game time for the Norwegian side and cement his position as a key member of the squad.
