Napoli coach Antonio Conte has addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding Victor Osimhen’s potential transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). In a recent interview with Rai Sport, Conte provided insight into the club’s stance on the matter.
Conte said the club was already aware of the situation and was already prepared to lose the Super Eagles striker.
“The situation was already very clear,” Conte stated.
“I was aware of it. It’s all going as planned. To me, it’s not a surprise to wait.”
The coach’s comments come as Osimhen’s agent is reportedly in talks with PSG, though no major updates have been confirmed regarding the Nigerian striker’s potential sale.
Bold Sports had earlier reported that Osimhen had stopped training with Napoli to avoid any injury ahead of his potential move to PSG.
Conte elaborated on Napoli’s transfer strategy, saying, “We face every situation in the right way. As I said, first, we re-aligned, now we evaluate, and then there will be sales and new signings. The vision is very clear. There will be no problems.”
He further explained the club’s phased approach to transfers: “Now, the second phase starts. We must understand who can stay here and who should play elsewhere.”
While not directly addressing Osimhen’s future, Conte’s remarks suggest that Napoli is prepared for various outcomes.
