Nigerian international Akor Adams has now been scheduled to undergo a medical at Sevilla on Saturday ahead of his transfer from French side Montpellier.
The medical follows a reported agreement between the two clubs on a €5.5m transfer fee, marking a significant development in Adams’ career after a topsy-turvy time at Montpellier.
After the completion of his medical, Akor Adams will be officially unveiled and begin training with his new teammates as he will be hoping to adapt quickly to his new environment, get familiar with the team’s tactics, and establish a strong rapport with his new colleagues.

Akor Adams is looking to revive his career at Sevilla, having not scored a goal since his brace against Auxerre in September last year. This barren spell has been a concern for the Nigerian international, and he will be eager to make a strong impression and get back to scoring form.
With a fresh start at Sevilla, Adams will be hoping to rekindle his confidence and rediscover his scoring touch.
The completion of Adams’ transfer may however have significant implications for Kelechi Iheanacho, who may struggle to get playing time at Sevilla.
Iheanacho has been competing for a spot in the team, but Adams’ arrival may push him further down the pecking order. This could potentially mark the end of Iheanacho’s career at Sevilla, as he may seek alternative opportunities to secure regular playing time.
