West Bromwich Albion have firmly stated that Nigerian international Josh Maja is not available for transfer during the January window, despite strong interest from Premier League and La Liga clubs.

Maja and teammate Tom Fellows have been targets for several European clubs this month. However, with West Brom aiming for Premier League promotion at the end of the season, both players are considered crucial to the club’s future success and will not be sold.

Premier League clubs Southampton, Bournemouth, and Ipswich Town, along with La Liga sides Celta Vigo and Valencia, have all been linked with Maja.

According to the Express and Star, West Brom intends to resist all offers for Maja and Fellows, who have been closely monitored by other clubs. Everton and Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in acquiring Fellows to bolster their squads.

Both players have been standout performers for West Brom this season. Maja has netted 12 goals and provided two assists in 26 Championship matches, while Fellows has contributed 10 assists and two goals in 26 games as well.

Maja joined the Baggies in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer after his contract with French Ligue 2 side Bordeaux expired. While his first season was hampered by injuries, he has emerged as one of the Championship’s top strikers this year.
