Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is back on the training pitch as he recovers from a muscle injury. The injury forced him to miss Nigeria’s 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Libya and two games for Galatasaray.

Osimhen sustained the injury during a 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa, where he scored a brace before being substituted. Galatasaray shared photos and videos of Osimhen training individually at the club’s training facilities. The club expects him to rejoin the full team training soon.

According to Galatasaray’s statement, “Galatasaray Football Team continued its preparations for the match against Onvo Antalyaspor in the 9th week of the Trendyol Super League with a training session at Florya Metin Oktay Facilities.

“Victor Osimhen worked separately from the team within the special program prepared for him. Galatasaray Football Team will continue its preparations with training tomorrow at 11:00.”

It remains uncertain if the 25-year-old will be fit for Galatasaray’s upcoming match against Antalyaspor on October 19. If he is unavailable, manager Okan Buruk will hope for his return in time for the Europa League clash against IF Elfsborg on October 23.

Osimhen has been a crucial player for Galatasaray since joining on loan in the summer. He has contributed four goals (two goals, two assists) in three games for the Turkish giants.
