Having defeated Ghana’s Black Galaxies to qualify for the 2024 African Nations Championship, Nigeria’s Super Eagles B are now on the cusp of discovering their opponents for the upcoming tournament which will be hosted in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania between February 1-28, 2025.
The draw, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 15 January 2025 at the Kenyatta International Conventional Centre in Nairobi, Kenya will determine the fate of the team and the opponents they will face in the group stage.
Under the guidance of stand-in coach, Daniel Ogunmodede who invited 26 players to begin closed-camping exercise at the Remo Stars Sports Institute, Ikenne-Remo, on Monday, January 6th, the team will be focused on preparing and perfecting their strategy ahead of an unpredictable and exciting draw.
While the tournament will be graced by several of African football’s powerhouse nations, including reigning champions Senegal, Nigeria’s Super Eagles B will be determined to clinch the title for the first time in nation’s history.

The 8th African Nations Championship will feature 18 countries, viz joint-hosts Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda, Nigeria, Morocco, Guinea, Senegal, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Niger Republic, Congo, Sudan, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Angola and Madagascar.
