Super Falcons forward Rinsola Babajide continued her fine form for UD Tenerife, scoring her fourth goal of the season in a dramatic 2-2 draw against Atletico Madrid Femenino in the Spanish Primera División.

The 24-year-old striker, who has now scored in consecutive matches, opened the scoring in the 24th minute, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to put Tenerife ahead before halftime in Adeje.

Atletico Madrid responded in the 52nd minute when star striker Guijarro rose to head home from a corner, leveling the score at 1-1. Tenerife’s defensive frailties were exposed again when Lloris capitalized on a poorly defended cross to give Atletico a 2-1 lead.

Just as Atletico Madrid thought they had secured all three points, Tenerife displayed resilience, with Perez salvaging a point for the home side in the 94th minute through the last kick of the game.

Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade made her return for Atletico Madrid, coming on for the final 30 minutes. Before her recent injury, the 25-year-old had been in exceptional form, registering five goals and two assists in nine appearances. She was also named the Primera División Player of the Month for September.

Babajide, meanwhile, continues her strong start to the season, contributing four goals and one assist in 10 matches.

The result leaves Atletico Madrid third on the table after 12 games, while UD Tenerife sit sixth.
