Remo Stars aim to extend their impressive seven-match unbeaten run and increase their lead at the top of the table as they host Kano Pillars at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Saturday.
Remo Stars currently lead the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table with 45 points from 22 games, holding an eight point advantage over second-placed Shooting Stars, who have 37 points with an outstanding match still to come.
Remo Stars have maintained their momentum in the second half of the season, recording a hat-trick of victories against Akwa United, Abia Warriors, and Sunshine Stars while netting seven goals.

In contrast, Kano Pillars have experienced a rocky start to the second half of the season, earning a 2-0 victory over Enyimba, but then suffering a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Ikorodu City, followed by a home draw against Bayelsa United.
Kano Pillars’ recent struggles have seen them drop to 12th place on the NPFL table, with 29 points from 21 matches, leaving them precariously just five points clear of relegation-threatened Sunshine Stars.
As such, while Remo Stars aim to strengthen their grip on first place with a win, Kano Pillars will be fighting for a crucial victory to steer clear of the relegation zone and rise into the top-half of the table.
Kano Pillars will also be driven to make amends for their 2-0 defeat in the first leg, where Ismaila Sodiq and Franck Mawuena scored for Remo Stars, and will aim for a more favorable result in the second leg.
