Odion Ighalo netted his second goal of the season, but it wasn’t enough to secure victory for Al Wehda, who were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Al-Fayha in a Saudi Pro League match.
Al Wehda opened the scoring early, with Meshal Alaeli finding the back of the net in the 4th minute. However, the visitors equalized in the 74th minute through Alejandro Pozuelo.

Ighalo looked to have sealed the win for Al Wehda when he restored their lead in the 82nd minute with a quick, instinctive finish. But in stoppage time, Al-Fayha snatched a point as Fashion Sakala calmly converted a penalty in the 104th minute.
This brings Ighalo’s total to two goals in six league matches. He was substituted in the 85th minute, replaced by Ahmed Bandar Derwish, before having the chance to further increase his tally.
Despite a slow start to the season, the former Nigerian international will aim to surpass the 15 league goals he scored last year.
