Nigeria’s men, women 4x100m team qualify for Paris 2024 Olympics

The Nigerian relays teams made it four out of five to make it to the Olympics after the men’s 4x400m and mixed 4x400m relay teams had earlier secured qualification on Sunday.

In the women’s 4x100m relay, Tima Godbless ran an impressive anchor leg to take home victory in the third heat of Olympics qualifying round two in a Season Best time of 42.71s ahead of Switzerland in 42.75s.

The quartet remained unchanged from the ones that had earlier failed to qualify on Sunday with Justina Eyakpobeyan running the first leg, while Favour Ofili and Olayinka Olajide ran the second and third legs respectively.

While the women’s team remained unchanged, the men’s team had Karlington Anunagba replace Seye Ogunlewe on the anchor leg.
