NFF president, Gusau expresses full confidence in Chelle during unveiling ceremony

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Ibrahim Gusau has publicly endorsed new Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, expressing his conviction that the Malian tactician will successfully steer Nigeria to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking at Eric Chelle’s unveiling ceremony at the MKO Abiola National Stadium’s conference room, the NFF president praised the coach’s extensive experience and in-depth understanding of African football, highlighting his tactical acumen as a valuable asset for Nigeria.

According to the NFF president, Eric Chelle will assume a supervisory role, starting from Tuesday in Ikenne, ahead of the forthcoming African Championship, which will take place in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Following his remarks, the NFF president, accompanied by top officials and the executive committee, formally unveiled Eric Chelle, who beamed with pride as he held up the Nigerian jersey.

During the ceremony, Augustin Eguavoen, the NFF Technical Director, also warmly welcomed Eric Chelle, offering him a hearty embrace and extending his best wishes for success as he embarks on the daunting challenge of guiding the Super Eagles.
