Napoli are reportedly exploring a potential swap deal with Manchester United that could see Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund move to Italy, while Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen heads to Old Trafford in a high-profile exchange.
Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray, remains one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe. Manchester United are among several clubs vying for his signature, with the Red Devils eager to strengthen their attack ahead of next season.
Napoli had initially hoped to sell Osimhen outright during last summer’s transfer window, but a late collapse in negotiations led to the Super Eagles star securing a temporary switch to Turkey. The 25-year-old’s deal with Napoli runs until 2026, though the Italian club holds an option to extend it until 2027 if they fail to finalize a sale this summer.
According to reports from Calciomercato, United are prepared to include Hojlund in a player-plus-cash offer to land Osimhen. The Danish forward, who joined United from Atalanta last summer, has endured an inconsistent debut season and may not feature in new manager Ruben Amorim’s long-term plans, particularly if United sign a marquee striker in the transfer window.

Napoli are also keeping an eye on Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee, but United are reportedly more inclined to offload Hojlund. While Zirkzee’s versatility across the attack makes him an attractive option, Hojlund’s potential inclusion in the deal could smooth negotiations between the two clubs.
Reports also suggest that Napoli are in advanced talks with Lille for Kosovan winger Edon Zhegrova, who has also attracted interest from Juventus.
As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on Napoli and Manchester United to see if a blockbuster swap deal involving Osimhen and Hojlund materializes.
