Ibadan is set to host the prestigious 4th Ibadan Basketball Championship which will take place at the Adamsingba Stadium Basketball court from January 17-18, 2025.
Shola Durojaiye, representing the Ibadan Basketball Players in Diaspora, explained that the Ibadan Basketball Championship is an annual event designed to provide a platform for Oyo State’s male and female basketball players to hone their skills, gain exposure, and showcase their talents.
The championship aims to fill the gap of lack of basketball competitions in Oyo State, a challenge the organizers personally experienced during their own playing careers.
The 2025 Ibadan Basketball Championship is shaping up to be an electrifying event, featuring non-stop action from top male and female teams, thrilling wheelchair basketball matches, cash prizes, lively music, delicious food, and a vibrant community atmosphere.
