German club, Hoffenheim are interested in Nigerian talent, Gift Orban who has struggled for game time since moving to Lyon in 2023.

As revealed by Fabrizio Romano and Matte Moretto, negotiations are underway and from all indications, the deal might be completed as early as January: “Hoffenheim are in advanced talks to sign Gift Orban as new striker from Olympique Lyon. Negotiations underway,” he disclosed.

Gift Orban who has only started two Ligue 1 games this season has scored two goals but he recently started against Hoffenheim in the Europa league and put in a good performance, albeit without a goal.

The German club are struggling in the Bundesliga and they currently sit in 14th place with 14 points in 14 games. They have scored 19 goals, the 7th worst in the division.

Orban who made his name in the Belgian League due to his consistent form and his insane ball striking ability will hope that the proposed move to Hoffenheim is another chance to shine in a top European league.
