The Black Galaxies of Ghana defeated Togo 2-0 in an international friendly on Tuesday, December 11, 2024, as part of preparations for their upcoming CHAN qualifier against Nigeria.
Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah opened the scoring in the 3rd minute before Yakubu Issah doubled the lead in the 27th minute at the Stade de Kegue in Lome.
Coach Mas Ud Didi Dramani is fine-tuning his squad ahead of the two-legged CHAN qualifier, which will see Ghana host the first leg on Sunday, December 22, before traveling to Nigeria for the return leg on Saturday, December 28.
The Black Galaxies will aim to replicate their success from the last edition, where they eliminated Nigeria on penalties after a 2-2 aggregate scoreline to qualify for the CHAN tournament in Algeria.
