Galatasaray’s technical director, Okan Buruk, has a unique challenge: selecting from a trio of world-class strikers. Victor Osimhen, Mauro Icardi, and Michy Batshuayi have all proven their abilities, making it difficult to choose a consistent starting lineup.
Osimhen, a recent addition to the team, made an immediate impact in his debut against Rizespor. Despite the absence of Batshuayi and Icardi, the Nigerian striker contributed an assist and impressed both the coaching staff and fans.

With a busy schedule that includes UEFA Europa League and Turkish Super Lig matches, Buruk believes rotation is essential to keep his players fresh and motivated. While he acknowledges the difficulty of choosing between such talented strikers, he has confirmed that all three will see playing time throughout the season.

The Turkish manager also praised Osimhen’s performance in his first game for Galatasaray.
“Osimhen played in the first 11 after a long time. This match was a match to complete their physical development in a sense. Finding the score early and changing four players in the 60th minute is also important for the next match.”
“We have three important forwards. We will think about what we can do when they are all together systematically. I think the most important thing is that they all take ownership of the team.
“Osimhen has just arrived; but we see this ownership clearly. This is very important and valuable. Batshuayi is doing this beautifully. Icardi has already become an important legend of this team. All of them together are names that will carry Galatasaray to the championship.”
Icardi is currently injured and receiving treatment in Argentina. He is expected to be back in Turky in a couple of days but will be sidelined for another two weeks.
