Chidera Ejuke scored his debut goal for Sevilla, securing a 2-1 victory over newcomers Real Valladolid in their La Liga clash on Tuesday at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.
The Nigerian international, who replaced Jesús Navas in the 61st minute, found the back of the net in the 84th minute after pouncing on a loose ball. His low shot into the bottom right corner sealed the win.
Sevilla initially took the lead through Gerard Peque in the 45th minute, but Valladolid leveled in the 56th minute thanks to Kike Pérez. Chidera Ejuke’s decisive strike came just before Sevilla faced further pressure when center-back Marcão was sent off in the 91st minute, but the home side held on for their second win of the season, moving them into the top half of the table.

Having joined Sevilla as a free agent following the expiration of his contract at CSKA Moscow, Ejuke has quickly become a fan favorite. His first goal for the club will only strengthen his growing bond with the supporters.
Fellow Nigerian Kelechi Iheanacho, who is still seeking his first goal for Sevilla, was in the starting lineup but was substituted for Suso in the 62nd minute.
