Chelsea are actively searching for a new striker, and Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface has emerged as a top contender.
While the Blues are still interested in Victor Osimhen who they failed to sign in the summer, Victor Boniface is gaining strong internal support within the club.
According to TEAMtalk, multiple sources have revealed that Boniface is now seriously being considered as Chelsea’s number one option.

The Nigerian forward fits many of the criteria Chelsea’s recruitment team is looking for, including his age, profile, and suitability to Enzo Maresca’s system.
Victor Boniface joins a shortlist that also includes Osimhen, Benjamin Sesko, and Viktor Gyokeres. However, Chelsea may delay any official moves until the summer, with many clubs unwilling to sell key players midway through the season.
Despite Chelsea’s continued interest in Osimhen, the high demands from Napoli and the cost of other alternatives may push the club towards Boniface. His transfer fee is expected to be around £70 million, and his wage demands are considered more manageable compared to other targets like Gyokeres.
Chelsea failed to sign Osimhen in the summer after they failed to agree on wages with the Nigerian star.
