Victor Boniface has extended his contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2029, according to reports from Sky Germany.
The Nigerian striker’s new deal comes with a significant pay increase, making him one of the club’s top earners.
Boniface’s salary has at least doubled from its previous figure of around €3 million per year. Bold Sports had reported in November that the club was seeking to extend his contract, and the agreement has now been finalised.

Despite the long-term extension, a potential transfer remains on the table. The reigning Bundesliga champions and German Cup winners would demand at least €50 million for his sale.
Boniface joined Leverkusen from Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023 for over €20 million. His impact was immediate, with the forward scoring 29 goals and providing 11 assists in 49 competitive appearances for the club.
He has been plagued with injury this season, missing eight games. He has scored eight goals in 15 games across all competitions this season, providing only one assist.
