Edo State Sports Commission Chairman, Desmond Agadin Enabulele, has officially appointed Greg Ikhenoba as the Head Coach of Bendel Insurance FC, while also naming Austin Iyamu as Technical Director and Peter Obanor as Team Manager.
Additionally, the commission chairman announced further appointments: Idemudia Osigbemen as Scouting Coach for Bendel Insurance FC, Anthony Ipogah as Scouting Coach for Edo Queens, and Princess Omoyemwen Adeyinka Afolabi as Welfare Officer for Edo Queens.
Greg Ikhenoba’s appointment is a testament to Bendel Insurance’s turnaround under his interim leadership. Following Monday Odigie’s resignation, which left the team struggling in the relegation zone, Ikhenoba has impressively guided the team to only one loss in seven matches, propelling them to 15th place, although just a point above the relegation zone.
Hon. Enabulele called on the new leadership team of Bendel Insurance including Technical director Austin Iyamu, and Team Manager Peter Obanor, to utilize their skills and expertise to excel in their roles, given the high expectations surrounding their appointments.
