Al Masry captain, Hassan Ali, is confident his side will get the maximum points when they face Nigerian giants Enyimba in the reverse fixture of their Group D CAF Confederation Cup clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Sunday.

Currently second in the group with one win, two draws, and one loss, Al Masry holds a one-point advantage over Enyimba, who have a record of one win, two losses, and a draw from their four matches.

Following a 2-0 victory over Enyimba in the first leg at the Suez Stadium, their sole win in the group, Al Masry are looking to earn their second win in the group, which would give them a healthy advantage over Enyimba in the race to qualify for the quarter-final stage of the competition.

Enyimba, having experienced a slow start to the competition, have recently shown signs of improvement with a 4-1 victory over Mozambique’s Black Bulls and a 2-2 draw against Egyptian giants and group leaders, Zamalek.

Despite Enyimba’s resurgence, Ali remains confident in his team’s ability to secure all three points. He emphasized that their ambition to progress from the group stage hinges on achieving a positive result in this encounter.

“We aim to win tomorrow’s match,” Ali said during the pre-match press conference in Uyo. “The players are fully aware of the importance of the match and its major role in deciding the qualification to the quarter-finals,” Ali said during the pre-match press conference in Uyo.
