Ahmed Musa’s brace secured Kano Pillars a 2-0 victory over Sunshine Stars in their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 5 fixture.
Musa, who was included in the starting lineup, justified his coach’s trust by netting the opener just five minutes into the game. The Super Eagles captain doubled his tally in the 51st minute, sealing Pillars’ second win of the season.

On his third debut for the club, the former Leicester City winger had the chance to complete a hat-trick but missed a penalty in the 71st minute.
Musa was officially unveiled as a Sai Masu Gida player on Friday, alongside fellow Super Eagles teammate Shehu Abdullahi, who started the match on the bench.
Kano Pillars will be hoping Musa’s presence boosts their campaign for a fifth NPFL title. However, there are still concerns over his availability for away games due to security challenges.
