The arrival of Maikaba at the club shows purpose for the Bauchi-based team who are hoping to gain promotion to the NPFL next season having suffered relegation during the 2023 abridged league season.

Having started his coaching career with FC Abuja (formally Buffalo FC) in 2006, Abdu Maikaba has gone on to become one of the most experienced coaches in the country’s domestic league having managed clubs such as Kano Pillars, Enugu Rangers, Plateau United Akwa United and Enyimba.

It is Maikaba’s second stint with Wikki Tourists having managed the club in 2016. Reacting to the move, the 59-year-old said, “I am glad to be back at Wikki Tourists as the technical adviser.”
