Oshoala wins record sixth crown
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen became the first Nigerian to win the Africa Player of the Year award in 24 years, claiming the award in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday.
Osimhen saw off opposition from Egypt’s Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah and Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi who plays for PSG.
It was an all-Nigerian night as Asisat Oshoala also won the women’s trophy for a record sixth time.
