Tanzanian outfit Singida Black Stars has finalized the acquisition of Super Eagles Goalkeeper Amas Obasogie from Ethiopian club Fasil Kenema.

Amas Obasogie’s move to Singida Black Stars comes just months after he left Bendel Insurance to join Fasil Kenema in Ethiopia. However, the transfer marks another significant change in the Nigerian goalkeeper’s career, as he seeks new opportunities in Tanzania.

Fasil Kenema bid farewell to Amas Obasogie on their official Instagram account, expressing gratitude for his contributions and dedication, while also wishing him success in his future endeavors.

During his short stint with Fasil Kenema, Amas Obasogie played a key role, managing three clean sheets in 11 games, while conceding 10 goals in those matches.

Singida Black Stars are in the running for the Tanzanian Premier League title, but their defense has been a concern, having conceded 11 goals, the highest among the top four teams.

The team is currently sitting fourth in the league standings with 33 points from 16 matches, trailing leaders Simba by seven points.

In a bid to tighten their defense and boost their title chances, Singida Black Stars are pinning their hopes on the signing of Amas Obasogie, hoping that the Nigerian goalkeeper can help reduce the number of goals conceded and ultimately increase their chances of winning the league title.
