Nigerian-eligible forward, Shola Shoretire was on target as PAOK Thessaloniki thumped Egaleo 7-1 on Wednesday, December, 4, to qualify for the quarter finals of the Greek Cup.

The Manchester United academy product scored in the first leg in a 3-0 win for the Double-Headed Eagle as they established a clear advantage that gave them confidence going into the second leg.

However, despite the edge they had, PAOK showed no mercy in the second leg, scoring as early as the sixth minute courtesy of Shoretire’s second goal of the competition.

They then added more misery to the away team’s plight with a hatrick from Tarik Tissoudali and goals from Andrija Živković, Taison, and Brandon Thomas.

Shoretire who holds the record as the youngest player to represent Manchester United in an European competition, and the youngest player of African descent to debut for Manchester United in the English Premier League, will be hoping that he gets more game time for the Greek Powerhouse due to his performances.

PAOK will go away to Panserraikos in their next game on Sunday, December 8 as they attempt to bridge the points gap between them and league leaders, Olympiacos, who are three points ahead of them.
