Interest from top Saudi Arabian clubs for Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has intensified especially after he was named AFCON’s Most Valuable Player.
This is according to respectable Italian football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano. The clubs will go out to get his signature in the summer.
Troost-Ekong led the Eagles to the final of the AFCON helping the team concede the least goals heading into the final.

The Italian last week revealed that the exceptional performance of the PAOK defensive stalwart at the AFCON has come to the attention of the Saudi clubs, he however reteirated that the interests have gotten stronger this week.
“William Troost-Ekong was voted as AFCON’s best player after playing every minute of every game and scoring 4 goals. There’s the concrete possibility to move to Saudi Pro League in the summer as interest is real and strong, as revealed last week,” the Italian wrote of microblogging site X formally Twitter.
Troost-Ekong has played in the Italian Serie A, Premier League, English Championship, and Turkish Super Lig.
