Victor Boniface continued his bright start to life in the German Bundesliga scoring a brace and providing an assist in Bayer Leverkusen’s 5-1 mauling of newly promoted Darmstadt on Saturday.

It took just 21 minutes for the Nigerian to find the back of the net with a well-taken solo goal after dribbling past three defenders. Darmstadt levelled through Oscar Vilhelmsson’s close-range header but Werkself went back in front through Exequiel Palacios.

Boniface secured his brace in the 62nd minute as he skillfully slipped into the penalty area and deftly flicked the ball past the goalkeeper from a tight angle following a rapid passing sequence.
