In a one-sided final, Aruna effortlessly defeated Egypt’s Mohamed El-Beiali with a resounding 4-0 (11-5, 11-6, 12-10, 11-3) victory, securing the Africa Cup championship after losing the title to Omar Assar of Egypt in 2018.

Aruna’s relentless determination and skill were on full display as he dominated the court throughout the tournament.

“There was never an easy win in any competition, and I am happy that I gave my best and my best resulted in the victory,” said the World No. 19 after his triumph.

“It has always been in me not to give up, even when I am down, and I am happy that all my hard work paid off with the victory.’

Dina Meshref of Egypt staged a remarkable comeback to claim the women’s title. After falling behind 2-0 against her compatriot Mariam Alhodaby, Meshref rallied to secure a 4-3 victory, becoming the new Africa Cup champion after losing in the final in the previous two editions.
