Nigerian long jumper Ese Brume is back in training for the 2025 athletics season following a well-deserved end-of-season break.
On Thursday, the 28-year-old shared photos in her training kit on social media, signaling her readiness for the upcoming season.

Brume, regarded as Nigeria’s most consistent track and field athlete, narrowly missed a podium finish at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where she led compatriots Ruth Usoro and Prestina Ochonogor in a historic final. It marked the first time three Nigerians reached the final of the same Olympic event. Brume placed fifth, with Usoro finishing 10th and Ochonogor 12th.

A multiple global medallist, Brume has consistently delivered for Nigeria, capturing gold at both the 2014 and 2022 Commonwealth Games, silver at the 2022 World Championships and World Indoors, and bronze at the 2019 World Championships and Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
