Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly rejected a deal to join Manchester United during the January transfer window after the club tried to explore ways to end his loan deal at Galatasaray. At the same time, Arsenal have been reported to join the race to sign the Nigerian as they require a prolific striker to lead their Premier League charge.
Osimhen has been in superb form for Galatasaray, who he joined in the summer after falling out with his employers at Napoli, whom he vowed never to play for again as a result of the treatment he suffered from their official social media account (TikTok).
Since his move to Turkey, Osimhen has hit top form, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists for the Cimbom in 18 appearances in all competitions, a performance that has endeared him to the hearts of the club faithful.

Manchester United are in need of a striker after signings Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Højlund have failed to impress despite their big-money signing. With Marcus Rashford on the verge of leaving the club after a frustrating season, United were hopeful of landing the Nigeria international to lead the club’s charge.
However, according to reports, Osimhen has rejected United’s proposal as he intends to remain at Galatasaray and complete his season-long loan deal. The Nigerian is said to be grateful to the Turkish side for saving him from a situation that would have kept him out of football for almost four months.
On the other hand, Arsenal are said to have shown concrete interest in signing the Super Eagles star. It is, however, unknown if such a deal will materialise during the current January transfer window.
Osimhen was one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe during the summer, with clubs such as Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United, and Al Ahli battling for his signature, but teams failed to secure his signature due to Napoli’s asking price.
