After a prolonged period of rehabilitation, Super Eagles and Orlando Pirates defender, Olisa Ndah has stepped up his recovery by returning to light training with the team.
The 26-year-old center back got injured on September 24 in the Premier Soccer League game against Polokwane City. He was then ruled out of the year by the Bucs medical department who confirmed that he suffered a tibia fracture.
While he is still being carefully managed by the coaching staff, Ndah was pictured all smiles as he returned to training in a recent post on Orlando Pirate’s official Twitter page.
Reacting to the recent post, Orlando Pirates’ supporters displayed their excitement, indicating that they had missed their captain and they could not wait for him to get back on the pitch.
Olisa Ndah will also be eager to return to full fitness as he recently revealed his dream of winning the league and the CAF Champions league title with Orlando Pirates: “I don’t know the feelings of winning a league here. I won the league back in Nigeria so I know the feelings, it’s totally different from when you win the Nedbank or MTN 8. I just want to know the difference so I’m looking forward to 2025, because it’s going to be a good year for us,” he said.
”On my thoughts ahead of 2025, it’s obviously to retain our titles and also win the CAF Champions League. Such success will be a very defining moment for me in 2025,” the center back added.
Orlando Pirates are currently second in the Premier Soccer League, three points behind Mamelodi Sundowns who have recorded 30 points in 11 games. They are also second in their CAF champions league group, 2 points behind defending champions, Al Ahly SC.
“The Buccaneers” will thus be hoping that the recovery of Ndah is a timely intervention that can help them in achieving their domestic and continental aspirations.
