Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has emerged as a standout performer in the Premier League this season, winning possession in the defensive third more times than any other player.
According to football statistics website WhoScored, the Nottingham Forest right-back has won possession 77 times in the defensive third — at least 13 more than any other player in the league.

Aina’s defensive solidity has been crucial for Forest this season, with the Nigerian international consistently breaking up opposition attacks. He has also scored two goals for his side this season as they climbed to third on the Premier League table.
The former Torino and Fulham player has been a key figure in Steve Cooper’s squad, combining his defensive contributions with attacking runs down the right flank.
Aina, whose contract expires at the end of season has been a subject of intense speculations with numerous reports linking him to Manchester City as a potential successor to England defender Kyle Walker.
