Nwora’s game-high 22 points powers Anadolu Efes past Bursaspor

Jordan Nwora scored 22 points off the bench to propel Anadolu Efes to an 83-68 win over Bursaspor in the Turkish Basketbol Super Ligi at the Basketball Development Center on Sunday.

Nwora who has been one of Anadolu’s top players this season was not listed in coach Luca Banchi’s starting five but was on the court for 22 minutes. Aside from the 22 points scored, he also dished out two assists and two rebounds in the win. 

His compatriot Daniel Oturu who also started from the bench and dropped five points and eight rebounds to help Anadolu who are chasing their first domestic league title since the 2022/23 season earn their 13th win of the season.

French guard and former Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks player Rodrigue Beaubois dropped 20 points, three assists, and two rebounds. Nwora and Beaubois were the only Anadolu players who recorded double-figure points. 

Nwora who moved to Europe in the summer of 2024 after four seasons in the NBA is currently averaging 16.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game in the Turkish Ligue. He averages 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 0.6 steals for Anadolu in the EuroLeague.
