Nigerian Goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie was denied top honor at the CAF Awards as the Women’s Best Player of the year award went to Zambian National team captain, Barbara Banda.
Despite her stellar season for the Super Falcons and Paris FC, Nnadozie was unable to win the prestigious award at the 2024 CAF Awards in Marrakech, Morocco.
Nnadozie was however recognized for her impeccable impact, receiving the Goalkeeper of the year award ahead of African counterparts, Andile Dlamini (South Africa) and Khadija Er-Rmichi (Morocco).
Despite the disappointment of not clinching the ultimate award, it is clear that the young shot stopper has already cemented her status as one of the game’s top talents and this will only spur her to achieve greater things for club and country.
