Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi delivered a stellar performance for Leicester City as they secured a 3-1 victory over West Ham United. This win marks a significant milestone for new manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, who claimed his first victory at the helm.
Jamie Vardy, Bilal El Khannous, and Patson Daka found the net for Leicester, while Niclas Fullkrug scored a consolation goal for West Ham. Despite dominating possession and creating numerous chances, West Ham couldn’t capitalize on their opportunities.
Ndidi, alongside Boubakary Soumare, formed a formidable midfield partnership, successfully thwarting many of West Ham’s attacks. The Nigerian international narrowly avoided a penalty in the second half after an unintentional handball inside the box.
In the 66th minute, Ndidi came close to scoring his first goal of the season, but his powerful header was denied by West Ham goalkeeper Lukas Fabianski.
This victory lifts Leicester City to 15th place in the Premier League table.
