Rivers Hoopers forward, Devine Eke, will represent the Milwaukee Bucks for the 2024 NBA Summer League scheduled to start on July 12. This is on the back of his impressive performance at the 2024 Basketball Africa League.
The Bucks beat the Dallas Mavericks to the signing of the D’Tigers forward, averaging 16.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game as Rivers Hoopers finished third, an incredible result from the team making their second appearance at the BAL.
“I heard great things about the Bucks and the people at the organization. My goal for Summer League is just trying to contribute to my team winning,” Eke told ESPN.
The 27-year-old guard boasts a diverse international career. After playing college ball for the Maine Black Bears, Rider Broncs, and Radford Highlanders, he honed his skills in Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, and Bosnia. He’s also a member of the Nigerian national team.
Eke’s Bucks open their NBA Summer League slate in Las Vegas with a tough test against the Chicago Bulls on July 13th. The following week will see them take on a variety of opponents, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, LA Clippers, and Phoenix Suns.
