Chima Moneke scored a career-high 33 points to propel Saski Baskonia to a 97-91 win over Breogan in a Spanish ACB match on Sunday.
The game was Moneke’s 100th appearance for Baskonia since joining the Spanish side in 2023 from Monaco. The 29-year-old had impressed earlier in the week, helping the Spaniards to a 91-77 win over EuroLeague champions Panathinaikos on Friday.
Aside from the career- and game-high 33 points (5/9 from three points, 4/6 from two points, and 10/11 from the free throw line), the D’Tigers forward also added nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals to the win. His effort was complemented by Markus Howard’s 18 points and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot’s 14 points.

Moneke is currently averaging 14.4 points per game (57.0% from two points and 37.9% from the three-point line), 5.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the game.
Pablo Lasso’s men had gone into the game with high confidence after their emphatic win over the EuroLeague defending champion.
