Nigerian-eligible forward Kazeem Olaigbe was the star of the show scoring a brace as Cercle Brugge secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Olimpija Ljubljana in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday night.

Olaigbe’s dazzling performance earned him the Man of the Match award. He wasted no time making an impact, opening the scoring in the second minute to set the tone. Though the hosts managed to equalize briefly, Brugge quickly regained momentum.

Filipe Augusto extended the lead in the 24th minute before a crucial red card for Olympija’s Thalisson in the 48th minute further tilted the match in Brugge’s favor.

Olaigbe then turned provider, assisting Kevin Denkey for the third goal in the 72nd minute. He capped off his stellar display with a second goal in the 81st minute, sealing the 4-1 win.

With this victory, Brugge solidified their position in the Conference League, inching closer to the knockout stages. Olaigbe’s impressive form continues, with three goals in just four appearances this season.
