Belgian club KAS Eupen has completed the signing of Nigerian forward Philip Ejike on a loan deal from Bulgarian side PFK Montana, bolstering their attacking options.

The loan agreement runs until the end of the season, with KAS Eupen holding an option to secure Ejike’s services on a two-year contract if he impresses during his loan stint.

Ejike’s impressive form in the Bulgarian second division earned him a move to the Belgian second division, where he will aim to prove his quality and talent.

In 2022, Ejike made the move from Nigerian club Mavlon FC to Bulgarian side PFK Montana, where his goal-scoring exploits helped the team climb to third place in the Vtora League.

Ejike’s impressive statistics this season, with 11 goals and 2 assists in 21 matches, highlight his importance to PFK Montana and suggest he could be a valuable addition to KAS Eupen.

KAS Eupen is currently struggling to avoid relegation, sitting 13th in the table, just three points above Genk U23, and Ejike’s arrival will be seen as a boost to their survival hopes.

Ejike is expected to join his new teammates in training immediately and could make his debut as early as Tuesday when KAS Eupen faces SC Lokeren-Temse.
