Josh Okogie, Chimezie Metu shine in Suns, Kings victories

Josh Okogie was impressive in the Phoenix Suns 133-95 blowout win over the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Centre on Monday leading the team in rebounds off the bench.

Okogie recorded nine points, six assists, three steals and 11 rebounds in 26 minutes for the Suns. The score, assists and rebounds were season-highs for the former Minnesota Timberwolves guard. 

The 24-year-old has averaged 1.8 points per game and 2.0 rebounds per game. His compatriot, Charles Bassey had five points, seven rebounds and one assist in 20 minutes on the court. 

At the Golden 1 Centre, Chimezie Metu scored 10 points three rebounds and one assists in 12 minutes off the bench in Sacramento Kings 110-101 victory over the Chicago Bulls. His compatriot, KZ Okpala, contributed not just astute defensive work but four points, four rebounds and two assists from 18 minutes off the bench in the win.

Representing the Bulls, Ayo Dosunmu could only manage six points, three assists and one rebound in the loss which was their 14th of the season. 

Sacramento Kings led by D’Tigers coach, Mike Brown, will be hoping to return to the playoffs for the first time since 2006.
