Super Eagles and Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has been included in the WhoScored Premier League team of the week after an impressive performance in a 3-2 loss to West Ham.
This follows Iwobi’s inclusion in the BBC Premier League team of the week compiled by former Watford captain Troy Deeney after his remarkable brace in the London derby.
According to football analyst Ben McAleer who compiled the team of the week: “While Fulham fell to a 3-2 loss at West Ham in Graham Potter’s first game at the London Stadium helm, Alex Iwobi did enough to feature in the Premier League Team of the Week having landed a WhoScored rating of 8.90 in the midweek London Derby. Iwobi struck with two of three shots, made five key passes and completed three dribbles to feature.”
In addition to scoring a brace, Alex Iwobi achieved another milestone by surpassing Kanu Nwankwo, becoming the second-most capped Nigerian player in Premier League history with 274 appearances.

Alex Iwobi also reached a career milestone with 10 Premier League goal contributions, marking the first time he has achieved double-digit goal involvements in a single season.
The defensive lineup for the Team of the Week features Martin Dubravka (Newcastle), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Murillo (Nottingham Forest), and Pervis Estupinan (Brighton) while in midfield Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle) and Boubacar Kamara (Aston Villa) were included.
The attacking lineup boasts a stellar cast, comprising hat-trick hero Amad Diallo (Manchester United), along with Phil Foden (Manchester City), Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), and Alexander Isak (Newcastle United).
