Super Eagles duo Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey are set to clash against defending champions Manchester United, in the FA Cup fifth round as Fulham were drawn against the 13-time winners on Monday.
Fulham reached the FA Cup fifth round with a 2-1 win over Wigan, courtesy of Rodrigo Muniz’s brace, while Manchester United edged past Leicester City in a 2-1 victory with a late Harry Maguire strike to complete a comeback after Bobby Reid had given the away side a first-half lead.
Manchester United will be aiming to replicate their Premier League success against Fulham in the FA Cup fifth round, having already completed a league double over them with 1-0 wins in both matches.
On the other hand, Fulham will look to capitalize on Manchester United’s inconsistent home form, with the Red Devils having lost five of their last 10 matches at Old Trafford in all competitions, conceding 18 goals in those fixtures.
Fulham will be counting on the impressive form of Alex Iwobi, who has been a standout performer for the team this season, contributing 7 goals and 3 assists in all competition, making him the team’s second-highest goalscorer behind Raul Jimenez and the third-best provider behind Antonee Robinson and Adama Traore.

Fulham head coach, Marco Silva may hand Calvin Bassey his first FA Cup game of the season, having typically rested him in the competition to prioritize his Premier League involvement, where he has been a regular starter, featuring in 23 of 24 matches this season.
Other FA Cup fifth-round matches include Milwall’s trip to face either Crystal Palace or Doncaster Rovers while Newcastle United will host Brighton and Hove Albion, who advanced to the fifth round after eliminating Chelsea with a 2-1 win.

Bournemouth, in excellent Premier League form, will welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are battling relegation and Plymouth will aim to cause another FA Cup upset when they face Manchester City in the fifth round.
The FA Cup fifth-round matches will take place on the weekend of 1st March, with the exact schedule and broadcast arrangements to be announced after consultations with clubs, broadcasters, and local authorities.
