Ikorodu City FC will be looking to extend their remarkable run in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) as they face relegation-threatened Akwa United at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

The “Oga Boys” are riding high on a five-game unbeaten streak and will look to capitalize on Akwa United’s poor away form to secure their seventh win of the season.

Ikorodu City, the NPFL newcomers, have won four of their last five league games, maintaining a flawless record at home with five consecutive victories and remaining unbeaten throughout November. They now seek a strong start to December to solidify their position.

Ikorodu United Shooting Stars

Currently sitting fifth on the league table, Ikorodu City is determined to maintain their impressive momentum while collecting valuable points as the league approaches its decisive phase.

On the other hand, Akwa United, despite their status as a more established team, enter the match as underdogs due to their dismal away record this season. Although the “Promise Keepers” are buoyed by a recent win against Plateau United, their struggles on the road could prove costly in today’s encounter.

Elsewhere on NPFL matchday 15, Heartland will host Nasarawa United, Katsina United face Sunshine Stars, Niger Tornadoes take on league leaders Remo Stars, Rivers United welcome Kano Pillars to Port Harcourt, and Shooting Stars clash with Abia Warriors in Ibadan.
